No, we are not a zoo!

Nature's Classroom is in fact an actual educational classroom where students participate in an interactive environmental studies program in the real Florida environment.  Nature's Classroom is a learning laboratory in nature and artificial enhancements are greatly downplayed.

While there are plenty of animals housed at Nature's Classroom, most of them were injured, abused or abandoned.  The Florida Wildlife and Game Commission has provided most of the animals housed at Nature's Classroom today, such as an eagle with a missing wing due to an encounter with a careless hunter. 

The animals at Nature's Classroom play a vital role in the educational process for students learning about the Florida environment.
