Interpretive Center

The Interpretive Center houses reptiles, amphibians, birds, and mammals. The study of these animals (which include snakes, spiders, fish, baby alligators, and turtles) is required as part of the two-week curriculum prior to attending Nature’s Classroom. The curriculum prepares students for the academic adventure they will experience when they visit. Students actually handle and observe a variety of live and preserved specimens of native and exotic wildlife. In addition, they learn to make both anatomical and behavioral observations of larger riverine organisms found in the Center.
