Large Mammal Habitat

The Large Mammal Habitat will house various Florida wildlife including a bobcat, coyote, black bear, and Florida panther. The study of these animals is required as part of the two-week curriculum, prior to attending Nature’s Classroom, that prepares the students for the academic adventure they will experience when they visit. The Large Mammal Habitat will include night houses, and will be relocated to higher ground to avoid the flooding which has resulted from El Nino. In addition, all of the Florida mammal habitats will blend in with the natural environment, and comply with the latest Florida Wildlife and Game facility codes.
