Riverine Swamp Classrooms 1 and 2

During the student’s three-day stay at Nature’s Classroom, lessons are taught as an enhancement to the activities. The Boardwalk classrooms are rustic outdoor seating areas located on the Nature Boardwalk through the Cypress swamp. Teachers stop at these two boardwalk locations and conduct lessons regarding how various organisms adapt to the need for light, water, food and shelter. The outdoor classroom provides the Nature’s Classroom teachers with the opportunity to reinforce the classroom curriculum and highlight key facts while referencing the surrounding environment.
